Darius frowner

Darius Frowner is a New York City–based musical director and award-winning pianist with decades of experience in the performing arts. In addition to providing music for live events, he has music directed national tours. These include productions at prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center, the Denver Center, the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, and New York University. In New York, he has worked with the Harlem School of the Arts and become a fixture in the downtown cabaret scene, performing regularly at The Duplex piano bar and the iconic Stonewall Inn. He has also worked alongside Broadway luminaries such as Norm Lewis, Billy Porter, Sutton Foster, and Kristin Chenoweth. Beyond his work as a performer, Darius is a dedicated educator offering private performance coaching both in person and via Zoom. He has also been a longtime faculty member at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. His work has taken him across the globe, from London’s famed Freedom nightclub to the Perugia Jazz Festival in Italy. He frequently collaborates with international artists, including Canadian jazz vocalist Micah Barnes of Canada’s Got Talent. Also in Italy, Darius leads masterclasses with the MTA Academy and has served as a judge on a televised singing competition, sharing his expertise with performers worldwide. One of the highlights of his career was coaching and music directing students for Michelle Obama’s Broadway at the White House—an honor that underscores his passion for nurturing the next generation of performers.
